Weincloud Dashboard Upgrade Across Three Key Dimensions

As Industrial IoT (IIoT) continues to mature, enterprise expectations for monitoring dashboards have evolved. Today, it is no longer enough to simply see data; enterprises need to understand trends and manage operations with precision.

In 2025, Weincloud Dashboard introduced a series of major upgrades. In addition to a refined UI/UX editing experience, several practical new features have been added. Let’s take a closer look at how Weincloud strengthens visualization, management, and data insight—three key dimensions that together create a smarter enterprise monitoring system.

Visualization: Flexible Dashboards with Custom Widget Colors
Previously, limited color options for software widgets made it difficult to match dashboards with corporate identity systems (CIS). With the v1.4 update, administrators can now customize widget color schemes with greater flexibility. Different colors can be assigned to different data levels, enhancing visual hierarchy and helping enterprises create dashboards that better reflect their brand and operational needs.

Detailed Color Control

The Map widget supports multiple map modes—light, dark, street, and satellite—to suit different industry environments.Widgets such as Tag History, Alarm Display, Table, Option List, and Meter offer multiple style templates for a consistent visual identity.Colors can be adjusted across widget elements, from value dividers to XY-axis labels in bar charts.

Management: Widget-level Permission Control
In earlier versions, all users with viewing permissions could see every widget once a project was published. This update adds stronger widget-level security controls, enabling more precise access management.

Widget ClassificationCentralized ManagementPermission Preview
The User Restriction setting in the Property panel allows each widget to be assigned to 1 of 12 categories (Class A to L).In “Setting” > “Project Permission”, administrators can manage users, publishing, and viewing rights in one place, and control access to each widget class. In Preview Mode, administrators can switch between permission views by selecting widget classes and verify settings before deployment.

Data Insight: Real-Time Data Calculation for Clearer Insights
Traditionally, calculating overall equipment utilization across global sites required Excel exports or complex backend scripts. With the Project Tags feature in Dashboard, these calculations can now be completed in real time directly on the front end.

For example, HMI statuses—such as normal operation, downtime, and abnormal conditions—can be aggregated and presented in a Pie Chart. By creating a single Project Tag with defined variables and a mathematical expression, the system automatically retrieves device data, performs calculations, and displays the final values directly on Dashboard widgets.

For enterprises operating across multiple global sites, performing these calculations on the Dashboard provides real-time visibility into equipment status, eliminating the need to wait for manual reports. In addition, moving part of the calculation logic to the Dashboard helps reduce the processing load on HMI and PLC devices, easing communication pressure on the overall control system.
